  1. Eight Prathibha Scholars (two scholars in each of the disciplines- Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics) are eligible to be considered for summer programmes at IISER-Trivandrum without screening test.

o The interested candidates are required to apply for scholarship application form in the prescribed form (Form – A) after securing admission for the B.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. Degree Course.

Prathibha Scholarship Renewal

  • Prathibha Scholars are selected during the 1st year of their U.G. course based on their merit in Science Subjects in the Higher Secondary Examination.
  • Students who have availed Prathibha Scholarship during all three years of U.G. course are only eligible to apply for the continuation of the scholarship for P.G. course. Those who are availing Prathibha Scholarship should not accept or hold another scholarship for the same course of study
  • Renewal of scholarship for IInd & IIIrd year of U.G. course & IInd year P.G. course is subject to scoring min 60% mark during the previous academic year.
  • Renewal of scholarship for Ist year P.G. course is based on passing the U.G. course with minimum 75% marks in aggregate (In the case of integrated Courses the student should have score minimum 75% marks during the first 3 years)).
  • This is necessary that no break-in study should be taken by the applications during the entire 5 year period of availing the scholarship.

Selection Procedure

  1. The scholarship is awarded as per ranking based on the marks secured in Higher Secondary Examination for all Science subjects.
  2. The provisional rank list of selected candidates will be published in KSCSTE website usually in November/December every year.
  3. The awardees under this scheme of the scholarship will not be allowed to receive any other scholarship during the tenure of receipt of Prathibha Scholarship.
  4. The students selected provisionally should confirm their willingness to avail Prathibha Scholarship by submitting an Undertaking that he/she will not accept any other scholarship for the current course of study.

Government run education loan portal Vidya Lakshmi is a single platform where students can avail information on loans offered by 34 banks. Following the IBA guidelines, the portal is operating under the aegis of Department of Financial Services, Department of Higher Education and Indian Banks Association (IBA).

Vidya Lakshmi is one of its kind portal for students to apply for educational loans. Just by filling up a single common education loan application form, students can apply to 3 banks of his/her choice at one time, thus making the process applying of education loan application transparent, fast and hassle free.

Earlier the student needed to visit a bank to bank to apply for education loan. With Vidya Lakshmi, the process of education loan application has become online thus it involves lesser paper work. The student can also send any grievances directly to bank in which he/she has applied for education loan online through the portal.

As per the IBA guidelines, loan should be processed within 15 days of receipt of duly completed application form with supporting documents and sanction/rejection should be communicated to the applicant.

To ensure interim support for children facing a personal/economic exigency

With the aim of empowering individuals who are economically and socially  disadvantaged, the bank has initiated various projects in the field of education and livelihood  training. ‘Educational Crisis Scholarship Support‘ (ECSS) programme is envisaged to provide  interim support for children facing a personal/economic exigency. 

Economic hardship or a crisis in the family sometimes has a direct impact on the  education of children, often resulting in the child dropping out of school/college/university.  ECSS has been conceptualized to provide assistance to these students, to tide over a difficult  situation/Personal/Family Crisis without adverse impact on their education. 

ECSS aims to cover students from recognized Private or Government aided College students studying in undergraduate and post-graduate courses (full-time/part-time  degree/diploma/ courses) who due to personal/family crises are unable to continue bearing the  cost of education and are at risk of dropping out of school/college/university. This situation  would be defined as bereavement/death/ terminal illness/permanent disability and loss of job of  the breadwinner due to accident or any such extreme circumstances that have put a strain on the  family resources.  

The Scholarship will cover the total annual College Fee upto a maximum of  Rs.25,000/- of the selected candidates.

Jio Scholarship 2020 will provide financial support to those students who wish to pursue higher studies but are unable to do due to poor financial conditions. There is no restriction in the Jio Scholarship Scheme to the Class Wise Reservation SC/ST/OBC/Minority/General for the 2019 Scholarship Scheme.

Jio Scholarship Highlights

  • Around 2800 scholarships are available to students in India.
  • The precise scholarship selection process is not yet available. The examination may or may not be carried out by the authorities.
  • A candidate in possession of a scholarship should have a good academic background without an interdisciplinary past, ragging behaviors, etc.
  • Students will receive the scholarship amount directly into their bank accounts. If the authorities carry out an entry exam, cards will be issued via the official website. Reliance Jio must check the chosen candidate’s records and ensure that scholarships support the deserving candidates.
  • Do not forget to take a receipt for the submission of the application form as it may be necessary for the future.

Jio Scholarship Eligibility

  • Education: The candidate must be a graduate or postgraduate.

  • Class XII: 65% or more in the exam conducted by the approved state board (80% for ICSE and CBSE panel candidates)
  • Graduation level: Minimum 75% or more in the university exam started by the approved college or institution.
