Life Line Club aims at the integrated development of all children in our college. Though it promotes every upstanding activity, primarily it focuses on anti narcotics movement in and around the college campus. The club collaborates with various government departments like Excise department, Electricity board, Energy management centre etc. for scientific and legal conveyance of message. It channels concepts and ideas by organizing rallies, street ply, broachers, workshops, seminars etc.
The Women Cell provides a forum to the girl students to come together and discuss their problems. Seminars on women related topics are arranged periodically. Various competitions are held exclusively for girl students to make them aware of their talents and build in them the much-required self-esteem and confidence.
College provides special coaching for MSc. Chemistry and MSW students in qualifying National Eligibility Test for Lecture Ship / JRF.

Sahithya Vedi is a cultural forum aimed at developing the artistic and literary talents in the students. It arranges a series of talks related to art and literature for the benefit of the students. Sahithya Vedi also arranges various competitions like the production of manuscript magazine.

The Career Planning Cell endeavours to equip the students with the skills demanded of them by the job market. The Cell arranges classes on personality development and career planning. The cell also makes available to the students books on general knowledge and journals giving information about job opportunities.
National Service Scheme is a platform where the young generation of today can grow and mould themselves to be responsible citizens of tomorrow. With its dedicated services towards the development of the society in which we live, it enables the students to realize the challenges they have to face in real life and makes them active and creative. The NSS unit of our college is engaged in various kinds of activities inside and outside the campus. It organizes seminars and personality development classes for students, conducts blood donation campaigns, and helps the college in the conduct of all the programmes in the college. The volunteer strength is 100, and the Programme Officers are Sri Abhilash Mathew and Dr Praveen Joseph.

The district of Idukki is blessed with its abundant vegetation with verdant flaura and fauna. The Nature club of our college instills the students with a keen environmental awareness in a period of its threatened existence. The club organizes nature camps and other conservation activities like campaign for afforestation etc. as part of its effort to mould an eco-friendly generation. The club functions under the careful guidance of its co-ordinator Dr. Praveen Joseph.
The Forum was inaugurated by Ms. Nandini R. Nair IRS on 27 August 2013 with 65 students of different discipline as the members. The Forum aims to provide a platform for the members where they share and disseminate the knowledge by organizing seminars, symposiums, expert discussions, debates, lectures and other means of dispensing education to meet the needs and challenges of modern day. The Forum also helps the members to develop their personality, communication skills and confidence level as well support them to keep their passion for Civil Service alive and to facilitate them to transform their passion into action.
The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala in association with Department of Higher Education formulated the scheme to setup Entrepreneurship Development Club in Colleges in the State to inculcate entrepreneurial culture amongst the youth and equip them with the skills, technique and confidence to act as torch bearers of enterprise for the new generation. St. Joseph’s College also started a unit in 2003-04, with the mission to create wealth and employment commensurate with unlimited natural and human resource potential of Kerala by developing entrepreneurship among the youth studying in the college.
The National Cadet Corps is a National Training Programme aimed at preparing the students for a military career. It endeavours to instil into the minds of the young a spirit of patriotism, sacrifice, discipline and selflessness. A wing of the NCC has started functioning in the college from 2008.
The Tourism Club arranges various programmes to highlight the importance and relevance of tourism. Visits to places of natural beauty and historic importance keep the members always happy and vibrant.
Bhoomithra Sena is a governmental project specially designed for college students with the laudable aim of strengthening their commitment towards environmental protection. The project encourages students to take up environmental protection activities at the grass root level especially in the vicinity of the participating colleges.
This programme endeavours to equip the SC/ST and minority students with the skills required to fare well in the various competitive examinations conducted by the UPSC, PSC, banks and other public and private undertakings. Classes are arranged for GK, Reasoning, Mathematics, English, computer typing, shorthand, secretarial courses including computer based programmes.
